在国外理发应该注意的事项
在英美等国要理发或做头发，一般都要提前一两天打电话跟理发店预约，否则临时去只好在理发厅排队等候了。很多人不愿意光顾理发店，主要是因为收费相当昂贵，因为在西方，凡涉及到以人工工时计价的收费都要比机器工作的高出许多。理发店里的各道工序都分别收费，最后合计算账。此外还必须给小费，而且不但要给理发师或美容师小费，甚至别人给你脱递大衣、送上热毛巾等，你也得付给他们小费，理发店的小费一般为理发费的10%到35%，甚至更高。

国内外看病的差别
在国内，有不少人去医院就诊就好像进餐馆点菜一样：“我只是感冒，配点儿感冒冲剂就可以了”。“给我服一片安乃近，睡一觉发汗就行了”。这样的做法在国外可就行不通了。感觉不适去医院就诊，不得先对医生下结论说：“I have a cold.”(我感冒了。)而必须对医生述说你的症状让医生作出判断，也不能自己点药，医生会根据你的病情开药给你。如果你自作主张，医生会认为你不尊重他，你既然自己会给自己看病，为什么还去找医生呢？

住宾馆应注意的一些细节
中国人常说：“在家千日好，出外时时难。”其实商务旅游期间，你若能事先知道一些居住上的细节，一定也能“处处为家、日日好”。
首先，在你住进旅馆之前，请注意两个词：
(1)电梯——在美加地区叫elevator；英国人则称之为lift。
(2)一楼——在美国叫main floor或first floor；在英国则说成ground floor，因此美语中的first floor，在英国则指二楼。
在西方，还有一项比较迷信的惯例，就是各饭店都不设第13楼，因为他们认为“13”是个不吉利的数字。这和中国人对“4”的忌讳心态是一样的。
此外，房间格局也必须在订房时就搞清楚：
(1)单人房叫single room；双人房叫double room；不过twin room也是双人房，只不过是房内有一张双人床的那一种。
(2)family room则是家庭式房间，能容纳4张以上的床具，商务旅客大概很少会用到。倒是套房(suite)，宽敞舒适，又附带小客厅，可能是最适合商务人士的选择。
